Writer's Blogk

I told myself I'd never be one of those bloggers that disappeared from the blogosphere long enough to have to start a post with, "I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while." I'D keep up. I'D blog at least twice a week. I'D do better than THEM!

Ahem.

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while.

What, Peg?

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while!

Give me a break. I had PMS. Plus, the summer soccer season has started, and I coordinated two teams, both of which I know play on (co-ed and women over 30). (Alas, th
ere's no league for "women WAY over 30" ). Plus, I was busy getting ready for the Komen Race for the Cure with team Los Globos! That's fodder for my next real post. Plus, I have been working on Real Writing. I have been asked to co-author a book! It's reeeeally exciting.

Enough excuses. I'm back.

Next up - Los Globos race for the cure!

Welcome back, Dr. Peg.

We, your humble and faithful readers, will accept the fact that you are entitled to have a life.

You're allowed a respite from entertaining us every once in a while. Even our favorite TV shows show reruns during the summer.

We eagerly await you showing us highlights and photos of your Los Globos.

Oh, my gosh, I'm so glad you're back. I have been having withdrawl pangs and nervous disorders waiting for another of your exemplary stories. It was almost too much to bear. You must promise never to do this to me again.

Or, on the other hand, I could say, "You were gone? When?"

You, on the other hand, could simply say, "Your sense of humor sucks so shut up."

I'm not going to put any PRESSURE on you Dr. Peg. NONE whatsoever!
I can't COMPLAIN at all, since I was away in Greece with my hubster and teenage daughters. I would like to say having a BALL, but it wasn't much of that and we had a couple of family spats per day, are all families this dysfunctional?, and I came down with vertigo with five days left that brought me to one of the worst hospitals I've even seen in my life. When I saw they were going to put an IV in me for fluids I cringed. I was glad I had all my Hep shots started before the trip.
I thought the hospitals in Mexico were awful but they must be better than that one. Maybe I shouldn't say, I have no first hand experience with a hospital in Mexico. It would be an interesting field trip to take though and it's just a short car hop and a trolley ride away.
We all need a change of pace. You from your blogsite postings, teachers from the classroom, mothers from mothering etc. I am still on Greece time as I woke up this morning at 2:30 am thinking it was breakfast time and while the stars were out and the air still warm, I thought I'd curl up by the palm tree with a light blanket and fall to sleep again gazing into the galaxy with my loyal dogs lying by my side. They're the laying around kind of dogs so they weren't doing anything all that loyal really. Still it's a comfort to know the soft furry bodies are there.
It was more of a refreshing getaway than the two weeks overseas, all things considered, and no jet lag. You should try it. Then as I headed back from my 4:30 am morning stroll(that's noon Greece time) with the dogs, you know I just realized dogs are gods spelled backwards w/o the "s", I thought you know it would be awfully nice to meet some of you blogging on Dr. Peg's site. Wouldn't it be kind of fun to arrange a trip to a ball park. Isn't that what summers are for?
Glad to be home in the US of A,
Have a great and glorious day!
